Freeze workspace

Dear members,

In page 74 of WSMP Web Component User Guide, there is a feature called Archive a Knowledge Space, in which by clicking Freeze button to archive the WorkSpace and making it read-only. Does this "freeze" button bundled together with the Worksite MP or it comes with Record Management Server (a separate add on)? How does it work? Please advice, thank you!

Hi ,

This freeze button is bundled with WorksiteMP only not add on of record management server .as you said this will make the workspace as read only in which u cant add the content u, cant manage the workspace,cant add the documents etc.You can also frreze the workspace using library manager by clicking facility and u can see the owner name description of particular workspace in right panel where u can frreeze the workspace and also u can activate the frozen workspace.wherein record manager u can create retention rules and legal hold and declare the workspace for managing records.

Hi,

owner of workspace or user who having the "manage privilege of workspace " can freeze the created workspace through the web component.But through the library manager u can do both freeze/activate.
