Invoking workflow from an external web page

Hi All,

I'm trying to invoke a workflow from an external webpage using the following url..

http://myTSserrver/iw-bin/iwwft_instantiator.cgi?
iw_user=myTSserrver/administrator
&iw_template_file=default/author_submit_dcr.wft
&iw_use_defaults=true
&iw_branch=/default/main/Branch
&iw_workarea=/default/main/Branch/WORKAREA/WA1
&iw_file/templatedata/Categoty/data_type/data/mydcr
&childwft=default/author_submit_dcr.wft
&iw_role=Author"
When i click on this link i get a page to fill out the workflow information(comments etc). But then after that when i click on the submit button the window hangs and i get a javascript error. Has anyone faced something similar...any clue on why this is happening?

I'm using TS 6.5 sp1 on Windows 2003.

Any particular reason to use hacks? Have you tried "newjob" from CC URL Commands?

Hi,

Even if i try the newjob i'm getting the same javascript error. This workflow works fine when invoked from the Teamsite UI.

TeamSite author's can't instantiate workflows, so you might want to change the role and try it.

Hi All,

Thanks for all the replies..The problem is solved(a silly mistake :-( )..the url didnt have a paramater iw_areaowner which i'm using in the workflow.
