TeamSite 6.7 Performance Settings

Hey gang,

We have TeamSite 6.7 running on a 4 CPU system with 4GB of memory. Our largest branch has well over 100,000 files.

Are there any downsides/risks to maxing out the values for fs_threadcount and cachesize? I've noticed that we're still using the default values of 2 and 30000. This weekend I'm going to change them to:

fs_threadcount=8
cachesize=400000

Any advice/input is most welcome.

we have 6.5 on 4xCPU Solaris 9. We still have fs_threadcount on 2 (default), but cachesize=90000 (3x default). I'm thinking of upping fs_threadcount to 4 (or more, 8), but I'll wait to let it coincide with our next release of project in Oct-Nov.

I'll be interested to hear of your experience.

Note, iwstat -c will give you some info on how much of your cachesize you're using. I can only suppose that it also talks about fs_threads, when it says
