filename length restrictions in opendeploy

Does anyone know the filename length restriction for open deploy?

We haev a user that treid to deploy some files and one file was 123 characetrs in length and this caused the deploy to fail.

Obviously I told the user to shorten the file name to around 30 characters, but would like to get something from the vendor. We are running teamsite 4.5 on Solaris.

You should probably look in /usr/include/limits.h - for both

I see the same POSIX limits (but no XOPEN limits) on a solaris 8 system - though 14 seems a bit small for a filename limit...

Our _POSIX_NAME_MAX is also set to 14, but agreed, it seems like we have file names longer than that and are working. Now I'll need to do some testing now to verify.

I hate to admit it but we are running on od 4.5, however we are *VERY* close to completing our upgrade to OD 6. Thanks for the pointer to this patch. I'll check to see if we have installed this in the upgrade test area.
