CGI Task-(TS 6.1 win 2000,OD 6.0)

Can I get an example of a CGI task which deploys files after they are submitted before the 'end task'.There is no other CGI task in the work flow.

Without knowing complete requirement, how could expect code from anyone over here? However, CGI task is similar to an external task with one or two attributes to be changed.

Provide info about your requirement as what you mean by a task which deploys files?

The deployment script called by the cgi task will invoke a particular deployment script in opendeploy the deployment script has to be mentioned in the script itself.

Have you ever worked on Open Deployment Scripts? Have you configured the config file needed for OD to work.

Also it can be acheived using perl script instead of CGI , if you dont have to take any input through user screen.

There is, I believe, a sample cgitask script that ships with TeamSite (located in the iwhome/httpd/iw-bin/ directory) and there's the documentation in the TeamSite Workflow Developer's manual as well as the Workflow Tutorial Supplement

All of the above should help you understand how to write a cgitask script (with some assumptions being made about your ability to write code)

There are also numerous manuals for OpenDeploy - which should be able to provide you an idea of how to construct the command line arguments for running OpenDeploy - and, I believe, a sample externaltask script for performing deployments as well.

Put the two together - and you should be able to accomplish what you want.

Asking others to supply you the code for your particular needs, for free, is not what one would consider "politicially correct".

Writing code that doesn't work, spending time debugging it yourself, and then posting it and asking for help with a specific section, providing diagnosticts from your own attempts at debugging it - is "politically correct" and likely to get you far more useful responses.
