Exception during New Form Entry

Hi,

When i am trying to do new form entry i am getting this Exception..
"The processing instruction target matching "[xX][mM][lL]" is not allowed."
Pls send me suggestions. I am stucked here.

maybe the templating.cfg is badly configured... what's the value for dcr-type="..."?

BTW, you should specify your Teamsite version, OS, whether the Form type has ever worked, ...

and yeah, including DCT and templating.cfg would help too (I've seen a million "properly designed" programs fail)

Hi Nidhi,

Can you post the snippet of processing instructions of all code being used? Templating.cfg, DataCapture.cfg and DTD is use.

Hi Nidhi,

i think in datacapture.cfg file this
[HTML][/HTML]should be in small letter.
Please check it may be you use capital letter.

I have faced the similar error at my end after a research
finally i have found one silly thing, which the space got appended at the end of the XML tag.So please check for any new line character or space at the end of any XML tag .In my scenario it happened at my custom script end.Probably at your end it might be in datacapture.cfg

I had the same issue after moving the DCT from 6.1Sp1 to 671Sp1, got rid of the issue by replacing the DCT with a fresh version (that had no changes to the DCT), guess some gibberish character chokes the DCT parser.
