6.7 data subdirectories bug?

I currently have a support ticket that seems to suggest a "feature removal" (as I see it) in TeamSite 6.7. After upgrading to 6.7 I can no longer re-generate any files that are based on dcr stored in a subdirectory of the "data" directory. Regen only works with files at the root of the data directory.

For example:

/templatedata/data/myfile.dcr

works

/templatedata/data/directoryname/myfile.dcr

does not work

Generate appears to work on those files the first time, but it appears as though they are tagged with the wrong pathing to the source dcr.

If at all possible, I'd like any 6.7 users to validate this on their systems if possible.

If it turns out that this functionality was broken or removed by IW, it really puts us in a bind. I'm sure there are many other users out there that use directories to store/categorize thier data.

It worked for me, Well i haven't used any Generate script, but i could create a sub-directory under data directory and create a DCR and then generate a file from there into any target directory. I don't know as what excatly were you tryin to do. Please post a code if you are using iwgen anywhere.

The initial Generate will work - try changing the file via the standard interface and "regenerate". It will change the EA that points to the DCR. Now you won't be able to edit the file anymore.

They sent us a hot fix this morning and it appears to fix the problem. I think its like another 2 weeks to get it through QA.

Check the "

TeamSite/Templating/PrimaryDCR

" attribute. If it includes the subdirectory, you should be in the clear. But from our contacts with IW, they have acknowledged that it is a bug.

For those of us that use sub directories to store our dcrs, I don't recommend upgrading to 6.7 until the official patch comes out in a couple of weeks.

I have no relation to this issue, but I thought I'd add that I noticed patch 1672 (released yesterday) for TS 6.7.0 that seems to fix this. From the README:

* Bug ID 66521

HTML generated from DCRs stored in a subdirectory of the data folder cannot be re-opened for Edit, as a result of the PrimaryDCR Extended Attribute missing the relative path information to the subdirectory.

I have no relation to this issue, but I thought I'd add that I noticed patch 1672 (released yesterday) for TS 6.7.0 that seems to fix this. From the README:
