Image Library
Ottawa_IWOV
Hi All -
Our client has MedianBin4.5. CUrrently we are using the TSMB connector to allow users to browse assets in MediaBin from TeamSite. This "copies" the image assets to TS, then we use OD to move them to web servers.
Our client is thinking of building an "image library" on their web site that users can browse, and then see/order a print quality version of the image.
Are there best practices on how to achieve this with MediaBin? Here is my understanding:
-High resolution images are stored in MediaBin
-Renditions (thumbnail, low res, high res) are exported from MediaBin to a web server (metadata to a DB)
-JSP web application would be responsible for actually rendering the image library (i.e. MediaBin is off the hook after deployment)
Would deployment agent be the best option for moving the images from MediaBin?
Any insights on this would be well received.
Thanks!
