changing iw-store location on windows

Hi ,

Using TS 6.1 SP1 on Win 2000 SP4 .

Presently iw-store is located in C:\iw-store , But I am running out of space . So want to shift it to

drive ie.,

\iw-store .

Pls let me know the process for doing this .

For unix I know the process :
( stop the store , edit defaultiwstore file , place the iw-store in new location ) .

Pls help me for windows .

Hi,
in the past we did the following steps to move a store:
stop the store
edit store location in the iw.cfg (have a look at "store_directory...")
copy the store to the new location
start the store

I want to move whole iw-store directory & not single store . Will this store_directory_....work for that .

On unix installation we have a file called defaultiwstore under 'etc' where we can specify the iw-store directory path .

Do we have something similar to this on windows .

Hi,
ok, that was my mistake, I got you wrong...
With my given description you can move easily the content store below iw-store.
The other stores like "events" and "workflow" could be moved in that way...
Check if it is perhaps enough only to move the content stores below iw-store.

If you start regedit on your server, move to the key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Interwoven\TeamSite, there's a string value called "iw-store".
It is possible, that this is right thing to change, perhaps you have to reboot your server after the change.

I didn't change this value before and I don't know if this change is supported,
so please be careful and test the change only on a dev system after a full server backup.
Also I would suggest, that you call IWOV support before you execute the change.

\ instead of C:\. i tried to do this in iw.cfg and reset:
store_directory_iw-store=D:\iw-store
store_comment_iw-store=Store from 33

but when i run iwgetstore it still shows C:\iw-store...
can anybody tell me how to change the default iw-store.

I think you want:

store_directory_default=D:\iw-store\default

It's also possible that there may be a registry variable holding on to the initial definition for the the default store - in which case you'd have to use regedit or similar to find/fix it (and if you do that, you probably won't need the iw.cfg entry)

On Windows it's in Registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Interwoven\Teamsite\iw-store

thanks but make sure u having working iw-store in the new location. and it is good to do the changes while teamsite is shutdown, then reboot your system.
