Using nested inline

Hi ,

Using TS 6.1 Win 2k SP4.

I have one DCTs . It uses inline command to constuct its elements from an XML file .
The XML file inturn has tag .

But it is giving error that we cannot use nested inline .

Is there a sollution for this ?

The DCT parser only makes one pass at parsing inlines, so no, there is no direct way to do it. What you'll have to do is have the inline that you are referencing in your DCT parse any files that it loads, execute their inlines, and replace the inline with the returned value. When I've had to do this, I typically use a substitution regex with the /e modifier to achieve the desired results.

The summary was that it wasn't allowed by default to have nexted inlines, but you could do it (and I have done it) by writing a perl script which acts as the top level inline and use this script to call whatever else you need to substiture in.

yes, if you write your own preprocessing script. I wrote one before.
