Remove Buttons from DCT

How and where do you remove and / or edit functionality of Generate and Preview button in the top frame of a DCT?

I've been looking for this everywhere... but it's not documented.

Have you read the FormAPI manual for the version of the product you are using (and have not indicated) - specifically with regard to

IWDatacapture.GENERATE_BUTTON
