Connectors -- PLEASE HELP!

One of our former employees created and maintained the 3 or 4 connectors that we use in our Worksite system. The connectors pull data from one of our custom applications to display on the workspace.

Now I have been asked to create a new connector. After looking at his previous code and reading the Interwoven Connectors Development Guide, I'm almost there.

The problem I'm having is that I can't seem to register my new connector on the Worksite Web Server.

As with our previous connectors, this new one was created in VisualStudio.NET and written in VB.Net. I created mine according the examples set by our previous employee. It compiles fine and I've copied the .dll file to the same folder on the Worksite Web server where the other connectors reside.

The problem: I log into WorksiteWeb as the admininstrator. I then go to Manage-->Connectors and select Register from the drop-down menu. The list that comes up does not inlude my new connector dll. Therefore I can't register it.

I'm new to the world of connectors and I've probably missed something pretty simple. PLEASE, any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Restart your web server and then login again and try the register command.

Already tried that. I restarted the IISAdmin service (which restarts several other services) but still the new connector does not show in the list of items that can be registered.

I created mine according the examples set by our previous employee. It compiles fine and I've copied the .dll file to the same folder on the Worksite Web server where the other connectors reside.

I know this might seem obvious, but there might be multiple copies of the connectors in different directories. Make sure that the assemblies are in the following path: <worksite_install_directory>/connectors/<company_name>/bin. WorkSite iterates through all /bin directories found underneath the /connectors directory to pick up connectors.

By the way, what version of WorkSite Web are you using?

Here's the full path to the connectors:

"\\{server_name}\c$\Program Files\Interwoven\WorkSite\Web\connectors\MillerAndMartin\bin"

There is only one bin directory anywhere in that path.

We're using v8.0 and I think we have a SP installed as well.

I've included a copy of my code below as well. Maybe there's something in there that is keeping the system from recognizing it as a connector.
