Hello, We are running TeamSite 6.5.0 Service Pack 2 Build Number: 51749 on Windows server 2003.

From time to time we get the message

Unexpected error listing contents of ......

where ..... is the name of a workarea.

We do an iwreset -ui which remedies the problem. It will return after a couple of days.

The full stack trace is at the bottom of this post.

I fully expect to have to open a support case, but am just wondering if anyone else has seen and solved this issue.

Hi,

We also see this issue intermittently, when trying to view modified files in a workarea (running TS 6.5 SP2 Build 53859 on Windows 2003 EE) .

Opened a support case, but with no resolution. Support were not able to replicate the bug, and nor are we. The issue seems to come and go, and we can't nail down a set of steps that will definitely reproduce it.

Sorry didn't have a fix to give you for this, but at least now you know you're not the only person to seeing this bug.

We experience the same exact thing - intermittent occurence of this error with no clear cause or way to replicate it on purpose.

Hi,

One thing I forgot to say in my previous post is that there are a couple of
obvious fixes we need to make before we follow this up with support.

The first one is we need to migrate our store from 6.1 format to 6.5 format.
The next issue is we're not running with the latest patch.

Are you guys running with 6.5 format stores, or did you do what we did and
just copy your 6.1 store across? If you're running with 6.5 format stores and
seeing this issue that rules out the older store format being the cause.

Are you also getting comments from Support on your store's format? We copied our 5.5.2 store into a TS 6.5 sp2 installation, as per recommendation of an IWOV consultant... now that we're having a few issues, support is telling us "yeah, you'd better migrate the store to 6.5 format"... AAARGHH! Smiley Sad

This was a clean install of TS 6.5 SP2, so no store migration of any kind ever happened. I am following up with support at the moment.

We occasionally get the same issue as well...

We suspect this is due to a non-submitted deleted folder in the backing store.

We have now got rid of this folder and the problem seems to have cleared up.

I'll monitor the situation for a few days and then try and get IWOV to acknowledge this as a bug.

I will echo this as an issue... In the past I have seen this happen with certain users. With so many positngs reply's I would defintly say it is a bug.

We have been running into this same issue, however a bit more than intermittently, with our 6.7.1 installation on Solaris 9.
It seems to resolve with a server reboot, but as soon as we restart TeamSite, we get this error message again.

not sure if this is the same issue.. but I had non-us user with the same issue.. only happened on their machine.. here was the outcome:

Issue:
Having unsupported language (as Finnish, Hungarian, Polish, Turkish) as the only language in the browser results in error in CCPro and CCStd while browsing. with "unexpected listing of contents of VPATH"

Internal testing:
It works fine if one of the supported languages (I tried with English/German) is selected as one of the languages in the browser (not necessarily the first in the list of the languages in the browser). I’ve checked this against 6.1 and there this issue doesn’t exist.

Your question:
If browser is set to an unsupported language, shouldn't Teamsite just ignore and choose English?

Answer:
A bug was logged for this issue and engineering corrected the issue in TS 6.7.1 SP1

Solution:
Install TS 6.7.1 SP1

Quick workaround (without upgrading to 6.7.1 SP1):
A very quick work-around is to have the effected users add one of the supported languages in their browser. This should solve the immediate issue while planning for the SP1 upgrade.
----Steps in Internet Explorer
---------go to Tools--> Internet Options --> Click the Languages Button (at the bottom of the General tab)
---------Then click Add -> English (United States) [en-us] (or whatever your server default is) --> Click OK
---------Then Click OK (again)
---------Then Click Apply
---------Then Click OK (again)

not sure if thats your issue.. but thought it was worth throwing the idea out there, since we had some user issues with the same error on our 6.7.1 (non sp1) install.
