Hi all,

Can I extend the permission layout to a component includes from a template?

I have a template that includes a component, i would like lock with the permission this component, how i can do it?It's possible?

Not exactly sure what you are trying to do. What version of LiveSite are you using?

When you are editing the component in the template view, you should be able to double-click the component and bring up component properties. From here there is a permissions tab where you can restrict the ability to modify portions of the component by role.

Then when you apply the template to a page it will obey the rules you set in permissions tab.

Let me know if that doesn't make sense.

Original post that you are referring to is from 2006. Product has changed since then. You'll have to elaborate on your need and along with LS version information.
