Hi
Is there any clt that gives a list of all the sub-branches and there subsub-branches.... in /default/main?
Or,
I can use iwlist.exe to get all the elements in /default/main , but how do i differentiate between an edition and subbranch.

I am not aware of any CLT that will give you a list of branches.

Although it would be simple to script something (Perl would be my choice) to (recursively) traverse the directory structure under /default. Anything other than "WORKAREA", "EDITIONS" or "STAGING" would be a branch name. Editions would be under "EDITIONS" directory.

/default is not the only possible store nowdays. iwstoreadm -l will return you a list of active stores.
Having that, traverse each Store. Any folder that has an immediate subfolder STAGING is a branch (to slightly simplify iwovGradute criteria)

I am new to perl.Can you suggest some commands or functions for this.Also I have to generate the vpath to every branch visited .Actually i am in a very urgent need of this.

If you read / search the forums - you'll see a very similar thread with a response that points you to a post with code provided.

If you're new to Perl this is a great type of thing to learn to write the code for - pick up a few books and work it out (the directory traversal code can be done using all Perl built-in's - or you can make use of certain modules that provide for some of the functionality you need).

If neither of those options work for you - then I suggest you hire someone who already has the correct skill set to do it for you - and then spend some time looking at what they produce and learn from it.
