unallocated groups tasks filter...stopped working

We can filter tasks in our workflow tab by selecting a dropdown list
which filters according to a number of options.

One option was displaying "unallocated group tasks". This was useful in locating stray tasks that we needed to take ownership of. I believe
this to be a standard inclusion in Teamsite 6.5a...but all of a sudden has stopped working. Now...no tasks display using this filter even though you can see there are unallocated group tasks when you use the display all tasks filter ? We have made no recent modifications this part of the GUI.

Has anyone seen this before.
