App Server Integration

Hi Folks -

We are looking at an application integration with IBM Websphere. Essentially, JSP pages in TeamSite, and deployment of JSP pages (and .properties files etc.) along with it.

Here's the issue ....

When a user "clicks" the *.jsp page in TS (for example -> index.jsp), how I ensure that is is showing the JSP page from WebSphere?

My thought process was, use a TPL to pre-process the static content from TeamSite DCRs into the JSP, and deploy the JSP to the application server to execute the snippets of application code.

But, a content author wants to update a "chunk" of a JSP page, for example a summary. can they do this easily from the TeamSite interface?

Just looking for some guidance on this and too see if I am way off base with some of my assumptions.

Just for clarification .... Your complete page is built of jsp or jsp + html fragments

you can redirect the *.jsp files to your app server using proxy redirections .. there are couple of threads related to this in forums ....Any point of time if you need to preview a jsp file in the TS you need to use some external application server to preview it....

What do you mean by property files .... do you mean "static text" of jsp is stored in the property files and content author can update those property files to make changes in the JSP files ?

You can create JSP pages using template, so that authors can go ahead add content to your JSP pages.

To the query regarding display these pages using Websphere, well you can integrate any application server with teamsite. You can refer to Admin guide to details as how to integrate.
