Reverse Deploy

Hi,

I am using reverse deploy to get files from the reciever ( AIX ) to base ( Windows) and I am seeing some files being not copied to the target and seeing
LERROR: Could not create file (e:\some_folder\some_file.html.iwtmp), errno=13.
ERROR: Could not get file data(.\some_folder\some_file.html) from socket.

in log files. Does anyone know how to fix this ?

I think errno=13 relates to "permission denied". Check that OD has access to read from the source and write to the target.

Check out the configuration file... is the target rules permission are correct. Can also attach your config file so that anyone can help you out... if has any change to do.

Thanks.. It's only few files getting dropped.. I am deploying files from a particular folder and only few of them are dropped. If this is related to permission all of them would be dropped right ?

It depends, are there sub-folders involved? If so, perhaps the permissions on the sub-folders are questionable.

Also - is this an absence of the files on the reverse-target server - or a failure to update file on the reverse-target server? and in the latter case, is it always the same files? If so - that could indicate that there are restrictive permissions on the file that already exists on the target server.

If the deployment is intended to overwrite a file which is in-use and held open by a process on the reverse-target that might cause the problem. For Windows there are a number of deployment configuration paramaters you can use to deal with some instances of this issue (RTM for details)

Thanks !! .. I also see an entry in the manifest (????.mf) file like this for the files that are dropped.. It seems the message in log and mf are contracditory..
item path="\some_folder\some_file.html" type="FILE" reason="missing-in-dest" action="NEW" status="FAILED" statusDetail="" srcDir="\some_folder" trgDir="e:\some_folder"

Also I when i ran the second time it the same files getting dropped however this time the errno=0.
