Hi,

When i save one new DCT in a certain location,the id for that DCT will generate automatically. For examle: 2341. If i copy it from that location to some other folder, that id will be changed. Means id is generated again. for unique ness. But I dont want to change that id while doing copy. where i do edit for the DCT id will not change.

Are you taking about custom field in the DCT or the object id of that TeamSite generates. If its the later it not possible to change it, if its the former copying should not change the ID if you are using the out of box copy functionality.
