How to get vpath..?

Hi,
how can we get the path of workaea from where user is clicking on gloabl menu.
v have a customized submenu under some X menu. I want to list the values of the Branch and workarea path in the the GUI of that command, so that v shouldnt ask the user for the same again.
i am not opening or submiting any DCR.
is there any way or built in command for this?
i m sure. i m not the first one to come across this..
v are using Teamsite 6.5 on Windows Server 2003.

use /iw-bin/show_env.cgi temporarilly in place of the CGI you are attempting to use for your custom menu item - use it and look at the output - that should provide you a wealth of information that you can use for designing your own custom menu items - in fact, it's generally recommended to have a Show Env custom menu item (limited to certain roles and/or users) for this kind of task.
