Customising FileSite views

FileSite 8.02.98 / Outlook 2003 SP2

Hi - I'm trying to follow the instructions in Tech note 32004-1027 to customise the column headings in FileSite and distribute the new views to other users.

Step 4 of that tech note describes how to access the 'Worksite fields ()' fields. When I access this, the 'available fields' listbox is empty.

How is this list box populated? When I installed FileSite it was fine, but it has since acted like this. What is known to break this?

Make sure that the FileSite datafile in Outlook is connected to the server and running. Try disconnecting it and re-connecting it again. Also make sure you see WorkSite Fields (your default DB name) in the drop down box of available fields.

After you change the view you have to commit the change by switching the view to another one and back again. This saves the changes. Also the views are now located in the user profile under %appdata%/iOutlook not in the install directory anymore.
