Upload multiple files using mediabin client
Joseph_goh
Hi,
Currently under the mediabin client interface, we can only upload one file at a time using the "Add asset from file" feature.
How do we configure in such a way that we can upload multiple files using the "Add asset from file"?
Thanks,
Joseph goh

I am assuming you are talking about the web client because in Windows client you can drag and drop folders with assets easily.
In the web client to upload multiple assets you can make a zip or sit file of all the assets and do it the same way as you do for single assets except check the radio button/check box that says extract file while uploading or something similar.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
If I were to zip up the files and upload it using the auto extract function, it will actually create a folder and copy the files into it.
What I want is to upload multiple files into that already existed folder in mediabin but not to create another folder.

I just did a test and if the zip file is the same name as the parent folder where you are adding assets to and add assets from a level above then it will add the assets in the zip file to the folder.
For eg., you want to add assets to Media Database\Asset Add then create a zip file called Asset Add.zip and upload it from the root or Media Database level. The zip is extracted and assets are directly added to Asset Add folder.
