OpenDeploy and iwold and iwnew

Hi,
we are using TS6.5 SP2 on win2k, OpenDeploy 6.0.2. Files are deployed in Solaris box having iplanet webserver.

I am facing a problem with Opendeploy.We are deploying content on 3 webservers. When the deployment happend, it is creating content.iwold and content.iwnew folders on all the 3 webservers.Files are getting deployed into content folder.
Here content is the folder on the solaris box.and we have file list deployment.
It is understandable if OD creates file based iwold and iwnew files. But not able to figure out why is it creating folder based iwold and iwnew folders.
We are using Transactional deployment.

Is it because i am using comparisonRules dateDifferent="yes"???not sure!!!!!.
Attaching the xml file for reference.Pls seee the attachment

Any help on this will be highly appreciated.

If you're doing a transactional deployment - the folders are created with the .iwold and .iwnew extension as well since the change and/or creation of the folders is also transactional and must be able to be backed out.

I simulated the live servers(which are on solaris) on windows (having iplanet webservers similar to solaris)and tried the deployment.In this case even though the empty space is half the size of the content, deployment is working fine with out creating .iwold and .iwnew files and folders.
Its strange that when it comes to solaris , i creates .iwold and .iwnew files and folders.

Can u provide more infomation on why it behaves differently on windows and Solaris.

I don't think it does behave differently on Solaris. Perhaps you didn't do the deployment to windows as transactional?

If you ran the deployment in simulated mode - then nothing actually gets transferred and therefore the amount of diskspace on the receiver doesn't matter - also, it therefore won't actually create .iwold and .iwnew folders.
