Multi Language DCT and UTF8 Field Length

Hello Teamsite Gurus,

I have two questions on teamsite and templating as below,

a) Can Teamsite DCT display filed names and description in multi-lanaguages even though my locale is US English?
Meaning if I have 2 seperate DCTs, can one be in English and one be in French? will this display the content entry form in the respective lanaguage to the corresponding users?

b) In such multi-lingual cases if I specify the field length as 10 in the DCT how will it apply to different lanaguages as the same word in 2 different languages can be 2 different lengths? will it chop off beyond 10 chars in other lanaguages?

a) As I know teamsite, at one instance of teamsite you can not have dct in multi-language.

b)As content is concern yes you are right if you put regex for 300 characters for your textarea, for french and other utf-8 languages it would reduce to less characters.

Let's separate soup and flies...

Do you want TS graphical elements to use different languages (eg, Save, Save As, Button Labels, this sort of things).
If yes - you can not do that. Single TS Instance Locale is set on installation.

Or - do you want template controlled elements (item labels and descriptions) to show up in various languages depending on some conditions?
That one can be addressed (to a degree) with DCT inline scripts and (for 6.7) with FormAPI
