building three-level navigation

I'm trying to develop a navigation menu with a teamsite template. I have a three-possible level menu using unorganized lists (ul's) and styled through css. I'm running into an issue, where my level1 and level2 items are never empty but I have a few level2's without level3 items. I'd like to use iw_if to go through and remove the empty fields.

Using the attached file, level1 and 2 display correctly but my items on the 3rd level do not appear. Any suggestions....and yes, I've RTFM....will also be in Chicago at the end of the month Smiley Wink

I think:

          <iw_if expr='{iw_value name="thirdlevel"/} eq "" '>

should be:

          <iw_if expr='{iw_value name="secondlevel.thirdlevel"/} eq "" '>

Can you also post your dct, may be issue is with the way you have created third levels.

I made that change and still have the same issue. I'm also now wondering if the issue is not with the template, as Sailesh suggested. I'm posting this here, but I'm still "tinkering" with a couple of options.

The problem is with the way you are trying to check for existance of your thirdlevel .

I do not have the code with me right now, but you have to do something like this..

{iw_iterate list='firstlevel.secondlevel.thirdlevel' var ='thirdlevel'}

then check if the list has any values in it (if correct have to check the size of thirdlevel.

I had it looking at the entire thirdlevel, when it just needed to look at one of the elements.
