Disable new form link on condition

Hi,
I am newbie to Teamsite.

Can anyone please help me in disabling new form link on task on certain condition(like it should be displayed on production only etc).Making task readonly also disables Edit link which i do require.

I do not believe that such functionality can be disabled in the main UI on a conditional basis. You should probably file your use-case with IWOV Support so that it might get picked up as a FR in the future - but for now I believe it's pretty much of an all-or-nothing situation.

The only way I could see to satisfy this requirement in the current versions of TS would be to replace the OOTB menu items with custom items that provide a wrapper to determine the context such that they could display a message, when the context is not "production", indicating that the functionality is not available in that context - otherwise pass through to the actual OOTB functionality. This would require extensive reading of the UI Customization Guide for configuration, and some programming capabilities to provide the wrapper and call-out to the provided functions in the correct context.
