Login failure

Hello,

Iam new to Interwoven and Iam trying to setup TeamSite6.7.
This is the procedure I have followed.
1) Set up IIS server.
2) Ran the TeamSite install.bat.
3) On reboot, configuration of IIS happened normally.

But when i try to login to the ContentCenter. I get the error "Failure in operation" when i input user name without the domain.
and when I input domain name also I get the error "Wrong username/ password".
Iam using the administrator login/password to login.
Can anyone help?

When i try to configure IIS manually, it says
ERROR:02422: No such TeamSite user
TeamSite server did not come up within 5 minutes.

Can anyone help?

It sounds like there's more than one issue here. I recommend you call support to diagnose this.

Is your Y-Drive showing up? Can you see iw_mount in your iis console? I am assuming you tried loging in as administrator when you first logged in? As dave said there might be several issues with your installation. Contact support. IT would be help ful if you can post your solutions for this problem, after you are done with support.

I have the same problem, I installed TeamSite 6.7 with Service Pack1, when I use the administrator login/password to login on I get the error "Wrong username/ password".
I use windows server 2003 platform.
I have 4 days trying to solve this problem. Please, Can anyone help?

Is the administrator account a local server account or a domain / active-directory account?

If it is a domain / active directory account - you may need to verify that the TS server is able to communicate with / validate accounts against the domain / active directory server.
Are you sure the password hasn't been changed or the account locked out?
Are you able to login with any other privileged account (i.e. a TS Master)? If so, try removing and re-adding the administrator account via the GUI.

I didn't change any file or password, I use administrator domain account to login to windows server 2003.

may certain Local Security Setting | Local Policies | User Rights Assignment rights security setting are not correct?

Who did you install the TS as? the local administrator? If you don't have a local administrator account, you will get that error. Just create a local administrator, log in, add some user, and then you can remove the local administrator afterwards.

Hi there!

Do the following:

1.- make sure the server your are trying to authenticate from has been added to the iw.cfg file

C:\iw-home\etc\iw.cfg

example:

[iwcgi]
domain_list=localserver,domain_server,

[iwserver]
server_locale=English_UnitedStates.MS1252@Binary;
domain_list=your_domain_server

2. go C:\iw-home\conf\roles\tsusers.xml

make sure this is the nomenclature:

Sample iwuser entry. For windows please specify
the user name in domain\user format
iwuser name="usernamehere"
email value="emailaddresshere"
/email
preferredui value="ccstd"
/preferredui>
ismaster value="no"
/ismaster
/iwuser

Run iwreset -a

Note: I removed the "<>" so the example here would show

I changed the C:\iw-home\conf\roles\tsusers.xml file, I added the Admin name.

Synopsis
This article explains a workaround for the error that you may receive while logging into TeamSite 6.7.0.

When you try to login to TeamSite 6.7.0, you may sometimes receive the following error message:

Failure in operation

When you get the above error, check whether or not the user who is trying to login is added as the TeamSite user. If the user is not added as the TeamSite user, then the diagnostics file may contain the following error:

ERROR:02422: No such TeamSite user

To resolve this error, you need to add the user as the TeamSite user. For this, login as Administrator to TeamSite UI and add the user by selecting Manage Users from the Actions menu. Alternatively, if the user is a member of the Administrators group, then you need to shut down TeamSite by running net stop iwserver and edit the tsusers.xml file in /conf/roles. Add the following in between the and tags:

After making the above changes, restart the TeamSite server by running net start iwserver.
