Nidhi_Agrawal

Hi All,

I have a textarea item which is using visualformat.
I want that the contents whatever user has typed in VFE shud come on my tpl as it is. But in my case the whole contents are displaying in single line.
I have tried for wrap="off" but no success.

Pls help me out here.

One clarification.. Is your content appearing in one line in your html output file or in VF??

If it is with output html content then try this in your {td

style=\"WORD-BREAK:BREAK-ALL\"

Thnx sailesh.
Problem is on my output page.
It is still not working.
Any other way of doing this?

which browser you are checking this against? code mentioned is working fine on IE.

Also post your tpl code and output screen-shot

I am also using IE.
I cant send u screen shot for that. When i am doing view source of my output page it is showing that whole contents of my textarea is comming in single line.
when i am entering data into my textarea if i press enter key for each line then it is working fine. But user is not supposed to do that.
I am surprised why wrap="off" is not working i think it is made for this function.

Have you specified width of your cells, in absence of width also this may happen.

Also read somewhere that wrap="on/off" is deprecated now.

In this case .. you have only option to use the width as percentage or as Sailesh suggested you earlier to use the style along with the tag.

Sailesh

In case you can use div tag use this:
{div STYLE="word-wrap: break-word"} tested, working fine.
