Not able to Login WorkSite Server 8.0 using WorkSite 8.1 SDK Login method

WorkSite 8.1 SDK Login Username, Password method fails to login to WorkSite Server 8.0.

Following error occurs when try to login to WorkSite Server.

Login Error: -2147221400: [NRTSession ][Login ]Logging in as "jagannath" : Server interface version is different from client application. Check that the client application version is compatible with the server. Error Logging in to WorkSite.

We were using WorkSite 8.0 SDK to login to WorkSite and do operations with WorkSite.

Server System:
WorkSite Server 8.0

Client System has following softwares:
DeskSite 8.0 SP1a
MailSite 8.0 SP1a
WorkSite 8.0 SDK

Currently we are upgrading to WorkSite 8.1 SDK.

As per Readme document of WorkSite 8.1 SDK, this compatible with WorkSite Server 8.0, DeskSite 8.0 SP1a and WorkSite 8.0 SDK.

Why Interwoven WorkSite 8.1 SDK is not compatible with Interwoven Server 8.0?

Any client-side API or SDK version must run against a server of the same or lower version, so an 8.2 API cannot log in to an 8.0 or 8.1 server.

I am facing the same problem, so is there any specific solution to this problem?

I am using Worksite 8.1 on my local machine.
when i tried to connect to a server which has worksite 8.0 it gives me error and when i tried to connect a sever which has worksite 8.2 it works fine.

SO please reply me asap.

If you have 8.1 API's, you can only connect to a WorkSite DMS Server of version 8.1 or forwards.
