TeamSite 6.7.1 does not support LiveSite 2.2.1?!?!

TeamSite 6.7.1 Compatibility

Platforms: Windows, Solaris, Linux.
Application Server: Tomcat 5.5.17, WebSphere 6.1, WebLogic 9.1.
Database for ReportCenter: IBM DB2 8.2; Oracle 9i, 10g; Microsoft SQL Server 2000; My SQL 5.0.20.
Other Interwoven Products: OpenDeploy 6.1; MetaTagger 4.1.1; LiveSite 2.2.1 and TeamPortal 2.0 are not certified with TS 6.7.1. LiveSite 3.0 and TeamPortal 3.0 will be compatible with TeamSite 6.7.1.

Great. We were just getting ready to roll out LiveSite 2.2.1 to Prod, RIGHT AFTER we rolled out TeamSite 6.7.1...

Not any more =/

Sorry for any confusion, Livesite is currently in the process of being migrated to work under 6.7.1. The Livesite 3.0 release is slated for first quarter.

This has hit us as well. It's very, very annoying to have a new TeamSite release (especially one that brings our longest FR to a close - Firefox/Mac support in text fields) put in front of us, and to be told we may have to wait up to 6 months before we can actually get anything useful out to users.

In my eyes, the advantages of LiveSite are not big enough to warrant holding off, but we've made a commitment to get LiveSite out to some of our more important users.

This bites IWOV - I understand the youth of the LiveSite product makes it difficult to keep things in sync, and you have a great roadmap - but seriously... ouch.

Understand the concern, but getting LS to get up to speed with all the TS 6.7 changes including support for configurable roles, delegated administration, the new workflow builder etc along with some enhanced capabilities around site map management is a non-trivial effort. We are also adding some pretty significant enhancements in the form of a new module for segmentation and targeting as an option on top of LS 3.0 and all of this together is what is pushing the LS 3.0 release out into March 2007.

Beyond that release, when we get to TS 7.0, I am hoping that we can synchronize all the module releases to coincide with the base platform release of TS.

thanks

Hi Sunil,

May I know the latest go live of LiveSite 3.0 ? We plan to upgrade to TeamSite 6.7.1 very soon. Please confirm the release of LS 3.0.

Thanks,

LS 3.0 is slated for release at the end of March 2007. We will be running a Beta for LS 3.0 in late January 2007 and I can sign you up for that.. However, if you were thinking about rolling out in production, you will have to wait for GA in late March..
