question about upgrades for interwoven team!!

hello,
i am in the process of planning an upgrade from TS 5.5.2 to TS 6.5.
and i d like to know if it s still supported by interwoven, sometimes interwoven only supports specific Service pack of certian to version. well can you tell me wht s the oldest service pack that is still supported.
and can you give me links to the documentations for that specific upgrade.

I would call support and get the proper documentation. This is well documented, but I cannot say where.

From the release notes for 6.5:

Upgrade Paths
You can install TeamSite 6.5 from TeamSite 5.5.2 SP6, TeamSite 6.1, or TeamSite 6.1 SP1.
Contact Interwoven Support for assistance in upgrading from other TeamSite releases.

well that s the recommand path previewsly, but it seems like they are changing thier mind about it for these reason:

The 5.5.2 SP6 backing store format has severe stability, scalability, and disk space usage problems. These problems with the 5.5.2 format are carried forward to the 6.5 installation unless the customer performs a second conversion using iwmigrate (please see KB Article 55361).
The 5.5.2 SP6 iwconvert tool is much slower than the 6.5 iwconvert tool (days vs. hours).
The intermediate upgrade to 5.5.2 SP6 is unnecessary.

I guess that doesnt apply to you.

i heard that if u have 5.5.2 SP4 u can directly upgrade to 6.5.
or is it still recommanded to have at least 5.5.2 SP6 to upgrade to TS 6.5?

Just so that support doesnt come back to tell you that you should have upgraded to SP6 if you run into any problem you should upgrade to SP6. That is the "supported" upgrade path.
