OpenDeploy 5.6 and TS 6.5

it s me again in the process of planning upgrading from 5.5.2.
we are runing opendeploy 5.6 and teamsite 5.5.2
we are gonna upgrade TS to 6.5.
is it recommmanded to also upgrade the OpenDeploy to newer version like 6.0 or 6.1.
or is it ok to keep opendeploy 5.6 along with TS 6.5?

Well n good, if you upgrade OD as well as you will be able to utilize new features. OR

when we upgraded TS 552 to TS 6.5, we were on OD 5.5.1, so we had to upgrade OD, at least on the sender side. We left the receiver (OD 5.5.1 on AIX) cause it was working fine for what we needed.

From the compatibility matrix, it seems that OD 5.6 sp1 (sender) is compatible with TS 6.5, but consider that OD 5.x are all end of life since June 2005 (IIRC), and installing OD 6.0.2 SP1 is pretty hassle-free.

ALso upgrade to 6.X of open deploy is pretty easy (unless you cannot get to the recievers). So look at upgrading. No changes of files and the new features are helpful.

We are in a similar position now with OD 5.6 and TS 6.1. We ran into problems with DataDeploy 5.6, as it is no longer a standalone module in OD 6.X. Keep that in mind if you have any standalone DataDeployments defined, as they will need to be updated.
