Teamsite, Visual Formatter and IE7

Hey guys,

As we all know IE7 was released today and will be PUSHED to all windows users via a critical automatic update on November 1.

We have on chap here who has been using IE7 since RC1 and he hasn't had any problems EXCEPT that the visual formatter throws up all over him. I checked and Ektron has Beta releases that handle both IE7 and Vista (like they'll every ship that product).

Does anyone know when Interwoven is going to release an update to teamsite (we use 6.5) that addresses this issue.

I tried it on IE7, well it will ask you to install couple of Active x components, it will throw at you one "dll" and one extron thingy to install,if you install that, it will work fine.

One more interesting thing which i noticed is, when you leave your cursor in the VFE window, it will pop this, has anyone noticed it or its just me.
I am trying 6.7.1 on IE7.

Wow, I was waiting for someone to finally post an issue with IE7 and the VF editor. I'm been using RC1 since it released and knew about the "Document Wait" issue for almost two months.

It wasn't until a few days ago that Ektron finally released a beta of eWebEditPro to resolve this issue. After installing the client everything is fine.

Until the control is out of beta, I doubt Interwoven will release a new version or patch. If you have users that need VF capability, I would d/l the beta control and push the "ewebeditproclient.exe" out to those users.

Could you tell me how you installed this as we are facing the IE7 with TeamSite visual format as well. Did you update the ewebedit pro on the server?

AFAIK, IE7 is oficially supported in TS 6.7.1 SP1
