MetaTagger - MediaBin

The mt.410.ig.pdf document says this regarding the metatagger traansformer primative...

"MediaBin includes default tasks, and it is not necessary to define any additional tasks that use the MetaTagger primitive."

Does this mean that once the integration step is complete, the metatagger transformer is used automatically in all the default tasks?

Also, what are "Metadata fields" in Pg26, mt.410.ig.pdf. Are these the asset properties (right click->properties.)?

I apologize. The documentation clearly could use some work.

In the current MT integration, the places where metadata is mapped into MediaBin are fixed. The keywords, summary and classification are mapped to the keywords, MetaTagger summary and MetaTagger classification properties within MediaBin. What is configurable is where in MetaTagger these properties are obtained from. That information is read from the metatagger.cfg file.

The statement about tasks should have read:

“The default tasks that ship with MediaBin do not include the MetaTagger primitive, but users can add ones as they see fit.”
