ECM connector 2.0 - MediaBin - VisualFormat

Hello All,

We are using ECM connector 2.0. The problem is that we are not able to decipher what the URL would be for opening the mediabin browser. In ECM 1.0 it was pretty straight forward.

Could anybody please guide us as to how to go about this?

The ECM connector 2.0 does not expose any "URL commands" to invoke the browser directly. The current design only allows it to be invoked from the Import command and from FormsPublisher. As you know, the browser is just a servlet that forwards to a JSP, but this interface is currently not exposed or supported.

It sounds like you would like an out-of-the-box integration with Visual Format for selecting images? It also sounds like a support "URL command" would be useful to enable custom integrations? The tricky part with the browser is defining the contract for passing a reference to the the selected/imported item. The browse and import are two separate actions that are decoupled so that FormsPublisher can deferred the import until the "generate" phase.

The 1.x code was shipped as a sample customer toolkit, so there was lots of flexibility to look under the covers and customize it to meet your needs. The 2.0 went a differnet direction in order to solve many of the pressing 1.x issues that could not be solved in the customer toolkit because they needed deep integration with the rest of the Content Center framework.
