ECM Connector 2.0 - Metadata

Hello All,

When I import an asset from MediaBin using ECM Connector 2.0 and asset metadata XML also gets attached as an extended attribute.

Does this XML also contain the Metatagger generated metadata like keywords and summaries?

Please advice.

The "MediaBin/Metadata" extended attribute contains metadata that is retrieved from the MediaBin server when the file(rendition) is imported. It will only include metatagger generated information if you had integrated Metatagger with Mediabin to set metadata before the file is pulled into TeamSite.

You can use metatagger in TeamSite to tag the imported file, but that metadata will be stored in a different EA. Well, you could write code that would call metatagger and then update the "MediaBin/Metadata" EA with the results; but I assume you are talking about what happens out-of-the-box.

Note: All of the above applies to files imported from WorkSite, but the name of the EA would be WorkSite/Metadata.
