SSI is not working

My preview files are located in location /web/preview/
And i have tried for the paths in virtual tag ..
1) /web/includes/includeFile.html
2)web/includes/includeFile.html
3)/includes/includeFile.html

But none is working..
Pls suggest me what shud i do to remove the error "an error occured while processing this directive" ?

Your customer web server is enabled for SSI or not ? If not you need to configure it first..

SSI is configured as i can see the header and footer on my output files.
This is really surprising me that if i put /includes/header.html in my virtual tag then it works but when i put my file name then in that case it is not working.
Even i have put my file in same location of header html.
Pls suggest me.

wats the name of your file name ... is this with extn html or something different .. if different you need to configure this again in your web server Smiley Happy

Now problem is solved. The SSI configured location has been changed by someone.

Now i am facing a new problem.
My included file contents are comming in single/more long lines . When i am including this file then my output page is breaking.
What shud i have to do now?
i have tried {div STYLE="word-wrap: break-word"} but not working Smiley Sad

What changes i have to made when i am generating my child file and main parent output file.

This seems to be completely your html issue and I doubt if people will be able to assist in that...

Seems that your html code is having some tags not getting opened and closed at the right place (this is common with SSI ) so have to be very carefull with your html tags.

I am attaching a copy of my output page.
Here i am just reading a value on textarea only.
The code of my DCT is as
{textarea rows="8" cols="60" wrap="virtual" required="t" external-editor="visualformat" /}

When i am reading the contents they are comming in single line.
Please reply me. Its very urgent.

Also are you closing this div tag appropriately?

Pls tell me that how can i break the values read by textarea.
Just leave all the things like include files..
I want to read a textarea value . if user put whole contents into single line in textarea then how can i break those values on my tpl. tags are handeled properly.
My site is using only div and p tags no TD ,TR tag is there.

The issue is with the cols of your textarea "60" and the columns of your html page which are differing. trying using a static html with columns, debug techniques u know....
