Reboot in order to access folder

Currently our CMS server is a standalone server. When I create a new local user the user connects via the IFS fine. Then they try and access workarea that has been shared say by group_x. Well, they get an access denied error. Likly so becasue I forgot to add them to group_x. I then add them to group_x and run an iwreset just for good measures. But they still get an acess denied.

The only way for them to gain access is for them to reboot the machine.

Is there any other way? Has anyone had similiar issues?

I have had similar issues on one of my test servers (TS6.5 W2K3SP1). Instead of rebooting, though, I will remount the store using the iwstoreadm CLT.

unfortunately, since it is only happening on one of the servers, and just a test box at that, I have not really spent much time trying to figure out why this server gives me fits.

Not sure if it matters, but what OS are you running on?

Shot in the dark: Is this new user accessing TeamSite from a Remote Desktop session?

If so - Remote Desktop caches credentials - so you have to log out (not just quit) Remote Desktop and log back in again to get new credentials.

No they are not logging in from a remote desktop session.

Remounting a PROD system would kill other users.
