prevent RDF files downloading

Hi.

I'm thinking to generate RDF file by templating.

I can preview RDF file with visual preview tool bar,
but I cannot see on the browser without visual preview tool bar.
When I try to close visual preview bar, the browser asks if download or not.
I don't want download, but just want to see like xml or text files on the browser.


I edited 'httpd.conf.template' file to add following;

AddType application/xml .rdf
------------

I believe this setting means that files with the extention '.rdf' always are given mime-type 'application/xml'.
Is this not right?
Actuarry, I don't have enough knowledge about web servers.....

Please give me any advices.

Instead of hacking the httpd.conf (or httpd.conf.template) file - edit your iw.cfg file - look for the section labeled: [iwproxy_smartcontextedit_allowed] and add the following line beneath it:

_regex=\.rdf$=no

(I think that's the correct syntax) - then you may need to stop/start iwproxy - and iwreset -a should do it, but you could also do something like:

sudo kill `ps -ef | grep iwproxy | grep -v grep | awk '{printf $2" "}'`
sudo `iwgethome`/bin/iwproxy
