TeamSite 6.7 TPL Debugging

Is it just our installation of 6.7 (on win2k3), or does everyones install of 6.7 kick out nice generic messages when a TPL throws an error?

Doesn't really help me out much. The log files don't help much either...

I think 6.7 the new permissions that CLT's run under are making it more difficult for the IW engineers to capture meaningful debugging messages with the java UI invoking them.

While 6.5 wasn't much better, it gave you a clue as to where to look.

Can anyone else validate this assumption?

I'm gonna bump this, I am trying to work on TPL and it's throwing this error. I even have the same problem with the samples out of Safari... any ideas?

What happens if you try it from the command line with iwgen? with iwpt_compile.ipl? For the latter, if you get the error, try using the '-ocode' flag and see if you can debug it further.

Thank you for the quick response. I am a major noob at interwoven and have only been to the developers & admin classes. This being said, I'll have to restudy the iwgen command an learn the syntax better. I won't be back in the office till tuesday, so I'll revisit it then. Thank you again.

I was able to solve this issue today. Your direction helped point me in the right way. Once I tried to use iwgen to create my output file. It reported the error "could not create"..so 1 + 1 = premissions problem.. I gave myself access to modify the output directory and it all worked.. (cheer)
