Teamsite server OS movement from Windows 2000 to Windows 2003
vdesai
Presently the Teamsite installation is done on Windows 2000 server.
We are planning to change the OS to Windows 2003. Are there any issues involved in migrating to new Windows 2003 OS.
Apart from new licence are there any changes required to be done to Teamsite installation and/or the customization done. The customizations done are using PERL scripts e.g conversion of xls file to HTML etc..

Hi,
if you're using presently IIS5 for preview and IIS6 in future, have soem attention at the IIS6 caching behaviour:

Also you can get some install problems under Win2003 SP1, check

Additionally you should check your TCP/IP configuration of your Win2003 server:

I don't think you have to generate a new license for your installation, AS LONG AS THE SERVER IS IN THE SAME DOMAIN. Licenses are domain specific not a lot OS dependent. As Stephan said, 2003 goes with IIS 6.0, you need to be little careful while dealing with IIS 6.0. Some times while installaing OD there are some problems with Win 2003 SP1, but read the article and do as specified.
Thank you
