inline command is not working

I am using inline command on my DCT
{inline command='C:/Interwoven/TeamSite/iw-perl/bin/iwperl.exe c:/interwoven/teamsite/area1/area/ipl/DataUserIpl.ipl'/}

DataUserIpl.ipl file is present on the path location.

Code of my ipl file is as

print "{substitution}";
print "{option label='test' value='test'/}\n";
print"{/substitution}";

This ipl shud populate combo box on DCT but ipl is not looking called.
What issue can be ?

but I noticed our inline scripts start with printing an xml declaration.

The other thing I'm curious about, is whether maybe you should use backslashes instead of forward slashes in windows paths

Is this complete code of your IPL? If yes then you need to put the ?xml....as first line of your IPL.

A bit strange. If it is working on one server then no reason that there will some problem with your code etc. Also there is no configuration for inline.

Just one thing, make sure, you have placed the IPL at correct location in your client server.

OFF TOPIC : you can use [+HTML+] any xml/html here [+/HTML+] tags (without the + marks) to write xml code, that way you don't need to replaces < by {} all the time.

ON TOPIC: could be a permissions problem then... ? Can the command be run from the commandline on the windows box, by the appropriate users (which on Solaris would be iwui, not sure for Windows)

Please provide working environment details of both servers.

you need to regex for the path.

On command line ipl is working. That means IPL is also right.

This would be great were it not for the fact that inline directives within DCTs are not processed by Perl and thus you cannot perform variable interpolation / substitution there (this is a long standing feature request - for which I no longer remember the id)

Ya sure.
As i have posted that we are using component DCT structure. My component DCT is nothing but an ipl. Instead of inline command statement i have used self executable statement qx for that. And it is working fine here. Thnx to all for being so helping.
