Hi, In my dct there is a text box with max length="255",where i can give multilanguage characters(chinese,thai,english,korean...etc).It may also have the combinations of languages. After saving the DCR the datas will be saved in database(through DAS) where the size of the field is 255 char(fixed size- do not to be changed). But for multilanguage char 1 char occupies more than 1 byte(whereas in english 1 char occupies 1 byte), so that it will not save in the database if the total bytes exceeds 255. For ex- If i type a thai char ,each char occupies 3 bytes such that if he gives 85 char it will be saved in the database... else if he gives more than 85(86*3=258 exceeds the size the field in database) it fails to save in the database. I need to validate for this scenario in the dct before it saves.suggestions please......
