URL to locked DCR

I have a situation like this. DCR is locked by user A.
Assume, I am using the following URL to access this DCR1 from a browser. http://rciesncmf/iw-cc/command/iw.ccpro.launch_edit_form?vpath=//****/data/DCR1

However, User B is still able to access this DCR1 by the above URL although the DCR1 is locked by user A. How can I block the user B from accessing this DCR?

If the two users were working in separate WorkAreas, you could use file system permissions to deny write access.

file locking only prevents to edit the files and users can always view the files even though it is locked. You need to use file permissions to revoke the read access.

As per your requirement, you can not revoke the permissions for a particular user dynamically or rather say while another user using the DCR. However, if a user A is in process of editing a DCR then IWOV itself prompts user B that file is in use or locked by user A. Still user B can view the saved changes of that DCR.

Blocking can happen in terms of user not able to edit the file which is locked by other user.

Anyone who has access to workarea though can view the file in readonly mode (preview).

Also why you want to stop others from viewing the file?? How will the user knows that the file exist?
