Configure autoprivate.cfg to allow file from only certain folders to be submitted

Hi ,

Using TS 6.1 Win 2k

I have F1,F2,F3,F4 folders in my WA .

I want only files in folder F1,F2 to submitted to STAGING . If some one accidently submits files from folder F3 , F4 ....teamsite should not submit these files .

Is there any way to configure autoprivate.cfg to do this ?

Yes - read the manuals. However, I'm not sure if this will prevent an explicit submit - it may only prevent an implicit submit when submitting the entire workarea without pre-selecting files (the behavior for this has changed a couple of times over the last several years / releases, and I don't remember what the current behavior is).

Note - if you have multiple workareas on a branch do not try to arrange different private/public files based on workarea - that's a sure recipe for disaster.

Rohit,

Please be more elaborative about your TS structure... viz you branches, workareas etc. as working on autoprivate.cfg and submit.cfg can be quite a mess if not dealt properly.

Before configuring these files, the structure should be analysed thoroughly.
