Local File Manager (Launchpad)

TeamSite 6.7.1
windows 2003 Enterprise SP1

It appear that I can no longer set the remote setup for the local file manager. Previously on 6.5 SP2 I was able to configure the local file Manager to
\\hostname\iwserver\default\main
default/main

It no longer works in 6.7.1 - when I tried to configure it and click done it prompt me for the tempory location c:\IWTemp.

Did anyone came accross this problem?

Hi everyone,
This is what I am tryin to do:
I would like to do is to configure the local file manager from the server so the users do not have to set their settings.
- for file association
- edit file direclty from the server, so there will be no download and upload

R u using Sun JVM or Microsoft VM?

If you are using Microsoft VM, then it doesn't work in TS 6.7.1. There is already a bug on that.

Try using Sun JVM. Then it works.

But you have to use the *right* version of Sun JVM - I believe the officially supported version is 1.5.0_05, but 1.5.0_06 appears to work as well. 1.5.0_09 does not appear to work (though that may have been due to an orthogonal problem)

I do have the sun JVM installed.
It behave inconsistant - it's working now - my gutts feeling is that it is related to changes on client workstation Norton firewall.

After testing it - I realized that it is only usefull if you have only one content store.

So we decided to go with the local file manager configure on a network drive so it will be valid for the Terminal Server connection.
