copy view set?

Hi,

Is it possible to copy a view set in the view set manager? I'd like to create a new viewset, based on one that already exists, but with a few differences. The old viewset is used in a facility, so I cannot just change that one.

Hi,

Go to the worksitemp config:

1)click the viewset manager
2)Select the viewset,Choose the path where u have to download and click download.
3)go to the downloaded viewset jar,open with winzip select the viewset.xml and change the name and save it.

ex:< parameters >
< parameter id="name">sampleView< /parameter >

4)go to viewSet manager click upload, it will create the new viewset with copy of old one.

Thanks for that. I downloaded the viewset, renamed it to viewset.zip, extract it, edit the viewSet.xml, re-zip, then rename to viewset.jar. When I try to upload it, though, I get an error:

WorkSite MP cannot upload the file to the server.

Click Back and then repeat your previous steps. If this problem persists, contact your support staff.

Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? Which log file(s) should I be looking in for some sort of hint?

You can see info in the cms.worksitemp.c-4334.log under tomcat webapps/worksitemp/web-inf/logs.

But i think u did mistake in above steps.Actually there is no need to rename from jar to zip.What i mentioned is open the viewset.xml file under viewset.jar using "open with winzip".rename that older viewset name to new one which i mentioned in above reply.

You can achieve this by below steps also:

1)go to tomcat installed directory webapps/worksitemp/views
2)copy the viewset give the new name and paste it in same location.
3)choose the viewset.xml which u have created.
4)change the name to new one.ex:in below "sampleview" is the new name

< parameter id="name" >sampleView
