Content getting lost in DCR in teamsite 6.5

Hi,

We have migrated our sites from teamsite 5.5 server to teamsite 6.5 server.

We are experiencing a seriuos issue in our DCRs.

The data inside 'textarea' item gets messed up. The data in one textarea moves to some other textarea item and sometimes the data in 'textarea' gets lost. Not sure if this is a probelm with migration or with the new Teamsite version.i am writing down some sample code which we are using for the template

As you can see we using 2 different container items 'Link' and 'Text' and these containers are part of main container. Inside these 2 conatiners we are using 2 different 'textarea' items with the name 'caption' and 'text' respectively.

Whenever we are opening up any exsiting DCR, it shows the correct data, but once we make any updates and save it, the data in differnt 'caption' and 'text' gets exchanged and sometimes data from 'caption' item moves to 'text' item. This

PLease let us know where can be the problem as we have currently facing serious issue.

Is the DCT for this defined as "iwov" or "xml" style in the templating.cfg file?

I assume "iwov" style since I don't see any references to the attributes which were added for "xml" style - but if it's the latter, it might explain why you are having the problems.

but we are using 'iwov' DCR type. DO you have any clues?

Edit and save a new DCR, post it and one that does not work.

Are you using any formAPI in your dct?? my be some custom code which is accessing fields based on index value.

We are not using any javascript or FormAPI. SO this problem doesnt look like to be occuring from javascript.

One more strange thing is that this problem doesnt occur every time. It occurs intermittently. Also we were able to replicate this problem only with editor role and were not able to do that with Master role. Not sure if is related to Role or not?

can somebody give any other pointers?

ok, first of all I think you are confusing the crowd here by talking about your migration... the DCT you posted is full of TS6.x-only syntax, so this is not created in 5.5

Anyway, I'm surprised the MainContainer is an OR-container. Is that correct?

Secondly, but probably unrelated, you're using perl-like $variables in your callout url attribute, which I'm puzzled about cause to my knowledge you can't have those in a DCT.

Finally, you should probably post the entire DCT, not a part of it.
