iwregen.exe creating dump files on Windows 2003

IWN : 6.7
(iwregen -v = 5.5.0 build 55985 interwoven 20060321)

I am trying to use the command iwregen (iwregen vpath) in a command window to regenerate some pages. When I run the command I do not get any errors displayed to me but I have noticed that windows has created dump files at the same time I ran the command.

Any one have any ideas why iwregen would be erroring out or what I should do to diagnose the problem?

Slightly off topic, but did you realise that you are running TeamSite 6.7 on an unsupported platform?
The supported platforms are

:
Windows 2000 SP4, English,
Windows 2003 Server, Enterprise Edition, 32-bit, English,
Windows 2003 Server, SP1 Enterprise Edition, 32-bit, English

To address your original question, does it appear that iwregen is working? Is the HTML being successfully output?

I've got a 6.1 system which has an iwregen with version 6.1.

If you have a 6.7 system with an iwregen with version 5.5 - it sounds like you have a messed up binary - you may need to reinstall - I'd double-check with IWOV support first - they may be able to provide you with the correct binary - but frankly I'd be very suspicious of all the binaries if that were the case.

$ iwsubmit -v
iwsubmit: 6.5.0 Build 51515 Interwoven 20050821

I also checked my prod server, same thing and I have a regen_all script that does work.

So I do not think that is the issue. Could still be a bug.

Hmm - I was looking on a 6.1 Unix system - don't have a windows system handy right now (and our 6.1 system's server is currently down) - so maybe it was only recompiled on Unix?

Iwregen does not regenerate any pages when I run the command. In the command window no error message is displayed but I do see a message in the event viewer.

In the event viewer the message is displayed "Faulting application iwregen.exe version 0.0.0.0 faulting module iwregen.exe vesion 0.0.0.0 faulting address 0x011cad0"

I do not see any error messages (as a result of running the command) in the iwtrace.log file or in other logfiles that I have searched for under the teamsite install directory.

Support sent me a IWREGEN file and it is the same version that is installed on the system. If I regen a page in the GUI the page is regenerated just fine. I assume that they just did not change the version number of the exe for windows.
