Are you logged in as TeamSite master?
i loggin (remotely) to my client's TS Server(6.5)Yes I logged in as Master everytime.
As you are logged into your client's server... have you checked with the TS Admin people... whether they have removed the ADMIN TAB from the master role as well?
No. can there be any other reason.
Can other users, logged in as Master, see the Admin Tab?
You can try giving master access to another user (possibly a new user, if you can create as you have remote access) and let us know the result?Post your roles_custom.xml file? Thanks Nicholas
Can u tell where i will find this file?
iw-home/local/config/lib/content_center/customer_src/etc/conf/customer/roles_custom.xmlPlease note iw-home is your directory where the TeamSite has been installed.
The TS version is :6.1.0 SP2
Then open your UID file; master.uid and check who all are masters and ask them whether they are accessible to the Admin Tab?File can be found at : iw-home\conf\roles\master.uidiw-home is the path where teamsite was installed.
Hi nicholas i added a user just yesterday to master.uid and it had worked. But he couldnt see the admin tab .there is another problem that is we cant import or edit any file either? What should be done?
I am really not sure whats the **** here. As it looks settings are fine and all master users should have access to admin tab. I would suggest to take some expert help here for your problems or contact support. For you another problem, are you getting some error msg? When a user first time try to edit the file, teamsite install some activex at local machine ans ask for some digital certificate, are they getting something like this? Thanks Nicholas
The problem here is that all the Edit tabs are greyed out.I Cant edit the files even if i log in as master.Cant even import files. The thing is All the TS work was being done by some other employee prior to me . The guy left the company. Things are a bit screwed up now. What are the changes that this guy might have done to create problems for us. Where can i Start looking?
hmm. You can try couple of other things as well (together with ghoti).See the workarea properties and check is it private/group?If group, check that group, what users are in that group? if not belongs to that group, try adding youself in group then.hope this will helpThanks Nicholas
